I am excited to share about my next art show!! Take a look at the press release below. These are the three pieces of my latest artwork that got into this special exhibit.
PHOENIX – The Herberger Theater Center is pleased to announce a special summer exhibition, The Poetry of Arizona’s Landscape, at the University Club of Phoenix, 39 East Monte Vista Road in Phoenix.
The opening reception will start things off on First Friday, June 3, 2011, 5:30-7pm. Works will be on display throughout the historic 1917 residence-turned-club through August 11, 2011.
The Poetry of Arizona’s Landscape represents many interpretations of Arizona’s unique terrain. Members of the local art community juried the show, including Herberger Theater’s 2011 guest curator Jim Covarrubias. The jury viewed approximately 300 images and chose the 38 pieces for the exhibit. More than 39 artists from across the state submitted artwork, from which 17 artists were selected, including Jill Friedberg, Kimberly Harris, Maggie Keane, Leslie Parsons, Lisa Peterson Love, Luis Salazar and Dave Wilson.
All are welcome to the June 3rd artists’ reception, which is open to the public. Music by String Serenade. Gallery hours at the University Club of Phoenix are 9 to 11am and 1 to 5pm.

Sedona, AZ – “Follow your feeling into another dimension and capture it photographically.” That process is at the heart of the fine art photography of Lisa Peterson Love, a Sedona-based artist, who has taken conventional methods of photography one-step further.
On March 19th, 2011, Pueblo Sedona Gallery will present the fine art photography of Ms. Peterson Love at an art opening from 5 to 7 p.m. Her photography combines an experienced artist’s eye with shapes from an energy field that cannot be seen with the naked eye but can be captured photographically. The results expertly blend the visual images of the environment with images of energy fields. At the opening reception, Lisa will give an informative talk at 5:30 p.m. about this unique art form and her process. She will share how she became interested in Intuitive Energy Photography and the inspiration behind some of her individual pieces.
“I investigated this type of photography after seeing the film, ‘What the Bleep?’. The principles of energy in the film intrigued me. I wanted to explore how I could incorporate them in my fine art photography.” says Peterson Love. “Those who purchase my art seem to connect at a strong visceral level to the images. Recently, a woman in her seventies purchased one of my photographs and told me that it was because it made her feel like ‘she belonged’.”
In Ms. Peterson Love’s photographs, glowing orbs of light, radiant mists and colorful shafts of light appear naturally in environments that range from the gritty streets of Chicago at night to the natural landscapes of the red rocks of Sedona. “None of my energy field photographs have been manipulated”, says Ms. Peterson Love. “The images you see were captured in one shot.”
“We are thrilled to feature Lisa’s work in our gallery. When we initially saw her photography, we felt that her work was connected to spirit and that it would fit in well with the other pieces in the gallery”, say gallery owners Gerry Quotskuyva and Debbi Menig. “Our future plans for the gallery involve new directions and Lisa’s photography falls into our vision very well.”
The public is cordially invited to meet Lisa and hear her presentation on Saturday, March 19th from 5-7p.m. This special showing will run from March 18th through March 27th. Pueblo Sedona Gallery, open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., is located in Creekside Plaza, at 251 State Route 179, one block south of SR 89A next to Ken’s Creekside Restaurant.
